From early this year. Note: This had been sitting in my gallery for months. Every time I scroll through pictures and caught a glimpse of this set, I’ve always stopped to look. I could hear the laughter, remembered the early alarm, walking towards the coffee counter, happy people around, the long drive and all these moments vividly. And yet, every time I came to post it, a voice inside my head went.. ”doesn’t my face look puffy?.” , “what more might I have to hear people say.” and more.. so there she stayed - in the Drafts, hoping to one day (if ever) find a deserving moment to see the light. What a pity! Really. I felt so pretty that day! So pretty. Yet, these thoughts took priority and clouded my mind in lightning speed. It made me think this. At a time when almost everything seems Artificial, the most beautiful thing to be is fully human, in Every. Single. Way. And I’m choosing to celebrate it not regardless of my thoughts but particularly cause of it. Because it is OK to just be. Be free. Be kind. Be happy. 🖤
sixth grade me met Jesus here. I watched, learned, and dreamed of one day investing in students the way leaders & pastors invested in me & how they lead me to the feet of Jesus. By His grace & faithfulness, this same house where it all started commissioned me as a pastor today 🥹 What a gift & blessing of my life in this season to watch a God-given dream come full circle. I couldn’t be here without JESUS & without every person who has believed in the calling on my life, even when I didn’t believe it myself. I’m just so grateful. All glory to the Father! Jesus, You’ve done more than I could’ve imagined & you are not done yet!!! ⭐️
