Delhi Police on Sunday, October 11, released a video showing officers informing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke about his grandmother’s de@th while he was in detention. Police claimed they offered assistance to help him travel home for the funer@l, which he declined. Police Version Deputy Commissioner of Police Neha Yadav said officers offered travel arrangements and help contacting his family. The video was released to counter allegations that Dipke was not informed about the bere@vement. Abhijeet Dipke’s Response Dipke disputed the police’s account, alleging that he was not allowed to contact his family when he sought to do so. He was detained on October 10 over a planned protest in Delhi and released the following day. You can never tell by looking at someone if they are struggling or to what extent. These photos were all taken this past week, between them (in some sense underneath them) was immense anxiety that you can’t see. I’ll share more about that when I’m ready (related to my allergy). The biggest difference between these past two weeks, and the last time my anxiety felt this big and heavy? Is that I am no longer afraid of me. I love my mind. I have dived head first into better understanding and caring for her, and I have so many tools that I know I can utilize depending how intense things feel at any given time. I also, this time, didn’t feel the need to hide. I have leaned on my husband and trusted loved ones. I will continue doing so, and taking the waves of anxiety and intrusive thoughts in stride. Statistics tell me that MOST people reading this, are also navigating something mentally. Some of you may simply feel overwhelmed Some of you may be in the fight of your life To those who have faced extreme mental health lows, I think sometimes its easy to dismiss or diminish our struggles unless or until they become again extreme, knowing how much worse it can be. Please don’t. We all face mental health challenges to varying degrees, and we all deserve a world where we feel safe to say: I’m not doing OK. Where we can find help when we need it. THERE IS HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT. You are needed. You are loved. Your mental health matters the very most. If you need guidance and support but finding that makes you feel overwhelmed and unsure, please visit @projecthealthyminds 🙏🏼❤️❤️‍🩹 #worlmentalhealthday
