100 days since you left me. After 21 years together. I’m still grieving. My heart still aches. Not many people know that you weren’t just my best friend. You were the sister I never had. My soulmate. I don’t have a big family. I don’t have siblings. But I had you. And I don’t think anyone could ever truly understand how much you meant to me. We went through everything together. From college, when we had no money and I was nobody. Marriage, divorce, bad decisions, difficult decisions, incredible moments, and all the secrets only we knew. We promised to take those secrets to the grave. But now, you’re already there. And what about all the places we dreamed of going together? I guess we’ll have to go without you now. You saw it all. Me falling in love, getting my heart broken, crying, laughing, being terrified, angry, and everything in between. You saw me at my worst. And you stayed. You listened. You never judged. You watched me grow into the woman I am today. I’m sad that you left. Sometimes, I’m angry. I keep asking why. I’ve searched for answers, but never found them. You’re gone from this world, and a part of me is gone with you forever. The truth is, I don’t want to stop being sad. Because losing you hurts. There have been so many versions of me throughout my life. And now there’s another one. The version of me after you left. I’ve learned that I don’t have to move on. Because to me, moving on feels like leaving you behind. And I don’t ever want to forget you. So I’ll move forward. With you no longer in this world. With my grief. With all our memories and all the love. I’m a skeptic when it comes to the afterlife. But if there is one, I know whoever gets to meet you there will be grateful to have known you. Just as I’ll forever be grateful for our 21 years together. I love you forever, Arin.
YUNG MAGAZINE FALL 2026. THE HUMAN ISSUE. Behind every face you think you know, there’s a story you haven’t heard. Introducing @taraemad , our first cover star for YUNG’s Fall 2026 Human Issue. For over a decade, the Egyptian actress and model has been a familiar face on screen and in fashion. From The Blue Elephant 2 and Suits Bel Araby to Beit El Ruby and Catalog, Tara has built a career that moves effortlessly between cinema, television and the world’s leading fashion houses. But behind the success was a growing sense of disconnection. “Something in me died out about three years ago. I was still getting roles, and I was still going on set, but I was not feeling fulfilled.” What followed was a period of questioning, stepping away and ultimately finding her way back to the craft she once loved. For our first cover of The Human Issue, Tara Emad opens up about rediscovering her passion, navigating personal loss, and learning that sometimes the most important role you’ll ever play is simply being yourself. Tara Emad. Beyond the image, beyond the roles. Just human. Discover the full cover story. Link in bio.
