❤️‍🩹My cast is off and the healing & recovery begin! ❤️‍🩹A week ago today I was freed from my cast. Little did I know that the aftermath of being locked 🔒 in a cast for 11 weeks would be so intense! I wasn’t truly prepared for the struggle. ✋My hand and fingers are very stiff, swollen and painful. I can’t make a complete fist or flatten my hand yet. Because I had a complicated break my supination and pronation of my wrist/arm is the greatest challenge. I have lost strength and muscle tone in my forearm & triceps and my shoulder is locked up from doing all the work the past 11 weeks! ❤️As you can see I have a long road to recovery! The mental game is SO IMPORTANT to this healing journey. A positive mindset is key 🔑 when facing daily struggles. Focusing on gratitude, positive affirmations, prayer, meditation and deep breathing have always been a part of my morning routine, but now more than ever, I am leaning on these tools throughout the days & evenings! ➡️➡️➡️SWIPE to see what I am doing to help myself ease into this rehab and recovery phase with strength, patience, faith, and hope! 💪I am not allowed to lift anything heavier than a plastic water bottle for the first two weeks; so mobility work and one arm training continue! 💪❤️💪The goal is to train smart, trust the process and heal well so that I will hang onto lifelong movement, strength & mobility! 🥰Wishing you all a Magical Monday and a Wonderful week ahead! 💪❤️💪Let’s rock this week! 🥰Keep up the amazing work and thank you all for the beautiful encouragement and support! ❤️I appreciate you all! #injuryrecovery #myhealingjourney #barefoottraining #gettingbettereveryday #mindsetmatters
Sharing some of my top UNIQLO picks for the season! From versatile staples to functional layers, these are some of the pieces I love having in my wardrobe. Starting off with the Flannel Boxy Long Sleeve Shirt, Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt, UV Protection Crew Neck Long Sleeve Cardigan, and Pleated Skort. Keeping it simple with a white tee and Pleated Skort. I love how these versatile pieces can be worn together for an easy, polished look. The best part about these pieces is how easy they are to mix and match, giving me different ways to wear my favorites throughout the season. One of my favorite combinations this season! Featuring the Fluffy Yarn Fleece Full-Zip Jacket, Broadcloth Long Sleeve Shirt, Merino Crew Neck Sweater, and Cotton Relaxed Ankle Pants for a cozy, layered look. The soft, fluffy fleece adds warmth and texture, while the layered collars and denim make this combination feel effortlessly put together. Love how I can zip up the jacket for extra coziness or wear it open to show off the layers underneath. A versatile piece I can keep reaching for! Travel-ready with some of my seasonal favorites! Featuring the HEATTECH Ultra Warm Crew Neck T-Shirt, EZY Wide Straight Jeans, UV Protection Crew Neck Long Sleeve Cardigan, and PUFFTECH Parka for cooler-weather trips. I love layering for trips so I can adjust to changing temperatures throughout the day. Starting with a warm base layer and adding outerwear makes dressing for cooler weather easier. The PUFFTECH Parka is a great outer layer for cooler days, adding warmth while keeping me comfortable as I explore new places. Keeping it simple with the UV Protection Crew Neck Short Sleeve Sweater and High Rise Wide Jeans. An easy combination I can reach for whenever I want to feel comfortable and put together. The Pocketable UV Protection Parka such a handy layer to have on the go, especially when paired with Cotton Easy Shorts for a comfortable look with a little extra coverage when needed. I love how easy it is to put together an outfit with simple, versatile pieces. This soft pink knit and wide-leg denim combination is one I can wear on repeat! For days when comfort and movement come first, I l

This is where Ilhan Omar reappeared, and now Fox News Digital is getting an exclusive tour inside the sprawling Somali mall. Inside Minneapolis’ Karmel Mall, the owner walks us through a complex he says houses more than 750 businesses, many run by women, along with a school where children learn to recite and understand the Quran. A large Somali flag adorns the ceiling in one area, with American flags seen beneath it. The tour also highlights rows of shops and community gathering spaces, offering a rare look inside a complex that serves as much more than a shopping destination.
