As she grew up near Palisade, Colorado’s famous peach center, Christina Horn’s family orchard was her playground. Now, it’s the basis of one of two businesses she runs in food and agriculture in her home community on the Western Slope.

Christina blossomed into an entrepreneur after becoming the first in her family to earn a university degree – first, a bachelor’s degree from @coloradostateuniversity, where she studied business, and, later, a master’s degree from @csuglobalcampus in teaching and learning. Her path of lifelong learning illustrates how higher education can empower people to contribute to their families and communities.
