Life tried to break me, but all it did was introduce me to my strength. ✨ 📸 @aazeiss HMU @nikkiaroraofficial
I’ve never been a fan of “You must,” “You must not,” “You should,” or “You’re not allowed.” But lately, in a podcast, I shared something I had almost forgotten about. After our trip to Bali, where we were trying to finish our book, Diane came to me on January 1st and said, “Reinhold, I’ve decided to stop drinking alcohol.” We had both always enjoyed a good glass of wine. Sharing a bottle over dinner, raising a glass with friends. We enjoyed it. But that day, she made her decision. For herself. And I thought, “Hey, why not?” More than nine months later. Neither of us has touched alcohol. And we love it! We sleep well, feel awake, clear-headed and more conscious. Wonderful! But that’s not really the point. The point is that in a relationship, nobody should have to tell the other person what to do. She is free to decide. So am I. No rules. No pressure. No obligations. Two people making their own choices. Sometimes, happily, the same ones. This is one of the best things about being together. Just wanted to share that with you today.
