A historic milestone for Punjab as 17 girls from Mai Bhago AFPI clear the NDA written examination! 🇮🇳✨

“Mere Papa sab sambhal lenge.” Those were the exact words of a 19-year-old boy, standing beside his crashed car after taking three lives in a single moment.
The accident happened around 1:45 AM on the road near Cochin International Airport. Devika, Gopika, and Ijaz were riding back on a scooter after getting late-night tea. All three worked at a local handicrafts store. Behind them came a Mini Cooper, allegedly traveling at over 200 km/h with a 19-year-old at the wheel who police suspect was drunk. The car hit the scooter from behind. All three were thrown onto the road and died from the impact.
When local residents ran out and confronted the driver, he wasn’t checking on the victims or calling for an ambulance. His immediate words to the crowd were: “Mere Papa sab sambhal lenge.”
We have seen this happen repeatedly across India. In the Pune Porsche crash, a drunk teenager killed two young engineers and was initially told to write an essay on road safety. In the Mumbai BMW case, a politician’s son dragged a woman to her death and fled while his family managed the aftermath.
In the Sanjiv Nanda case, six people were run over by a high-speed car, followed by years of legal delays and tampered evidence. The sequence stays the same: high speed, alcohol, innocent people dead on the road, and an immediate retreat behind parental wealth.
How much is a human life worth when money buys protection? When a 19-year-old’s first reaction after three people die is that his father will fix it, what value has he been taught to put on ordinary people’s lives? Why are working kids treated like collateral damage for someone else’s late-night thrill?
When does raising a kid with money replace teaching them basic human decency? Blood samples have been taken and social media videos are being checked, but once the news coverage stops, will wealth buy another way out, or will Ijaz’s, Devika’s and Gopika’s family actually get justice?
