Some of you asked for Diggy Graves, I figured this one matched nicely. I'm not very good at slower music, but I tried 😅

🇺🇸🚨 Noise cameras are starting to target loud cars across the U.S., using microphones, video cameras, and license-plate readers to identify the vehicle responsible for excessive sound.
⠀
The systems can isolate where the noise came from, capture the vehicle on video, and record its plate after a preset sound threshold is exceeded.
⠀
New York City is already one of the most aggressive examples, operating 12 noise cameras in 2025 that recorded 15,994 noise events and resulted in 1,691 summonses.
⠀
For excessive muffler noise in NYC, penalties can start at $800 and climb as high as $2,625 including default penalties.
⠀
Other cities have taken different approaches, with some issuing citations, some sending warnings, and others still running pilots to determine how accurately the cameras can identify one loud vehicle in traffic.
⠀
For enthusiasts running aftermarket exhausts, straight pipes, crackle tunes, or especially loud setups, roadside sound enforcement could become another thing to watch for alongside speed and red-light cameras.
⠀
Would noise cameras make you think twice about running a loud exhaust on the street?
⠀
What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
