According to Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri, Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department at the Royal Malaysia Police (Bukit Aman), there were 14,560 animal-related road accidents reported nationwide in 2024. Among them, 13,877 cases involved only vehicle damage, while 544 caused minor injuries and 30 resulted in serious injuries.

14,560 accidents in a single year — all because of animals.
They cross the road not to rush somewhere, just to go home.

Cities expand, while forests shrink.
The roar of engines drowns out birdsong; headlights race past their silent confusion.

This work was not created to accuse, but to remind:
As we rush forward, let us not forget—
the lives left quietly behind, on the edge of our cities.
Who‘s road is this?
