This is probably the hardest post I’ve ever had to write… An athlete’s life is full of matches. Some are won, some are lost, and some are played far away from the court. This season, I had to face one of the hardest battles of my career — one that no scoreboard can ever show. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to take the time I need to fully recover from my injuries and come back stronger, which means that, for now, my season is coming to an end. There are no easy decisions when your heart wants one thing and your body is telling you something completely different. It’s not easy to accept that sometimes you simply can’t keep going, even when you want to more than anything. But I’ve learned that listening to your body is also a part of being an athlete — and sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop, heal and trust that better days are ahead.Leaving this team and this club breaks my heart more than I can put into words. FC PORTO has become so much more than just a club to me. It has been my home, a place where I’ve grown, fought, laughed, cried, learned and created memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. And behind every memory are people. The teammates who stood by me, the coaches who believed in me, the staff who supported me, and every person who made me feel that I belonged here. You have all left a piece of yourselves in my heart, and I hope I have left a little piece of mine with you too. Sometimes, you don’t realize how much a place means to you until you have to say goodbye. And maybe that’s why this hurts so much. My heart will always be blue and white. 💙🤍 No matter where life takes me, a part of me will always belong to FC PORTO. I will carry this club, this team and all these memories with me wherever I go. I’m leaving for now, but I’m not saying goodbye. Because some chapters may end, but the people and memories that truly matter never really leave us. They stay with us, quietly, in our hearts. To my beloved girls — I wish you nothing but success, happiness and, above all, good health. Take care of each other, fight for every point and never stop believing in yourselves. I’ll be watching, cheer
Papoose says hip hop needs saving from corny people and the gatekeepers in power. Speaking with our correspondent @agirlfromharlem at an event he hosted last night, Pap said some of the greatest artists never get their shine because people in positions of power intentionally hold them back while pushing less talented artists as better. He added that the most skillful artists get hated on the most, and that it’s not about materialism. “Some people hate you because of your aura. They hate the effect you got when you walk in the room.” And if you want a feature, he says he has to hear and like your music first. “I don’t just take people money.”
