Jayden Daniels says the way the team started the game was “BS” when asked about his motivational speech to his teammates. Question asked by Jake Kauderer.
“Changing a memory is not in your hands, but the way you choose to remember it, is. Look back at a time in your life that was so hard, you thought you couldn’t make it out alive. And then think of the fact that you DID make it out alive. Let that feeling sink in. You thought that moment was the worst of your life, and yet, here you are reading this. Sitting on better days. Let this be your reminder that whatever tough times may be in store for you, know that you can make it out no matter what. You might have a few scars on you, but that’s just your life’s story etched all over you.” - Nikita Sharma

Flower Vendor For Dia de Muertos Allegedly Taken By ICE A woman selling flowers on the corner of Alpine Ave and California St is alleging that her husband was taken this morning by ICE agents in all black SUV’s. The alleged agents did not approach her, but were only interesting in taking the man. Local activists have gone to the local ICE facility in Stockton, but no announcement confirming the ordeal has yet been released. The vendors sell these Cempaxochitl (Mexican marigolds)- which means 20 Flower in Nahuatl the language of the Aztecs- every November for Mexicans to honor their ancestor and loved ones who have passed away in what is known as Dia de Muertos. The tradition goes back to ancient times and is an indigenous Mexican ritual. The Mexica (Aztecs) held two festivals called the Hueymiccahuitl and Miccahuitl (great feast and feast of the dead) every year. The tradition has survived and continued despite forced conversion to Christianity or ICE raids. 🌼 💀 📸 @209timesenespanol
