It’s been a busy couple of weeks!

• A fun family reunion in Wyoming with some climbing and whitewater rafting (I might’ve fallen in on a class 4 rapid)
• Backpacking the Teton Crest Trail with my best friend before he leaves on his mission (shoutout @ethrow_ )
• Backpacking in the White Clouds with some other friends with some amazing views and off trail routes.

The Singing Savage 🛡️ 21 Savage has many viral videos of him singing his heart out to R&B classics 🗣️ He isn’t just singing along he hits falsetto notes and knows every word. Most of these joints are female led songs where romantic love, self worth, and heartbreak are central themes. It’s a different world from trap music, which is largely driven by the energy of hyper-masculine men with something to prove. Savage came from a dark place pre all his breakout success in the mid 2010s. In 2013, he was shot six times and lost his close friend in the same incident. The knife tattoo on his forehead has been linked to that loss, though accounts of its meaning vary, so I’d source that line before posting. The visual image and dark music he chose to represent his brand was his reality. In ways made him lit but to the masses less approachable and relatable. The viral singing videos show a human who enjoys the same simple things everyone else does.
