The Kennedy family is one of America’s most famous political dynasties, but its history has been marked by extraordinary tragedy. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. died at 29 during a secret military mission in 1944, while his sister Kathleen was killed in a plane crash at 28. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas in 1963 at the age of 46, followed by his brother Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in Los Angeles in 1968 at 42. The heartbreak extended to younger generations. John and Jacqueline Kennedy lost their daughter Arabella, who was stillborn in 1956, and their premature son Patrick, who died just two days after birth in 1963. Robert Kennedy’s sons David and Michael died at 28 and 39 from a drug overdose and a skiing accident. In 1999, John F. Kennedy Jr. died at 38 when the aircraft he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, also killing his wife and sister in law. These repeated losses gave rise to the expression “Kennedy curse,” a popular belief that the family was somehow destined to experience misfortune. Although there is no evidence of an actual curse, the remarkable number of premature deaths, assassinations and accidents has left a lasting impression on American history. Behind the family’s wealth, influence and political achievements lies a deeply personal history of grief spanning generations. 🕊️🖤
HAPPY HALLOWEEN #halloween2026 #halloween
Been trying to wrap my head around this season and still haven’t quite been able to find the words… Immensely proud of the work that has been put in and all the people around me pushing me to improve but also helping me keep the simple joy of playing tennis and competing. This season especially has been far from easy but incredibly rewarding at the same time. Amazing wins, heartbreaking losses, sleepless nights, tears, joy, and everything in between. Let this be a reminder that you don’t have to be perfect or have it all figured out. I really believe showing up for yourself every day can take you to places you never imagined you can go (that includes you who are reading this btw) Thank you to my team, sponsors, fans, and everyone who has been by my side through the thick and thin, you know who you are🤍 It takes a village @tomgutteridge @integralis.psp @isi.diewald_98 @gdecamps79 Much MUCH more to come on court next year, the work has only just begun🤓but for now… GET SOME REST EVERYONEEE🧘🏻‍♀️
