John Boyega is showing love to the hairstylist responsible for getting his wife, actress Tae Heckard, together. Celebrity hairstylist Tookie Did It recently shared a video showcasing Heckard’s intricate sculpted cornrows, complete with perfectly styled baby hairs and a voluminous curly ponytail. The “Star Wars” actor wasted no time jumping into the comments to praise the finished look. “Im sending her back to you neeooow! Thank you for being so gracious & accommodating. Should’ve seen my face when she walked in,” Boyega wrote. Tookie responded with an invitation for Heckard to return whenever she needs another hairstyle. “johnboyega so happy you loved it! Send her butt back anytime, cause I know she want some cornrows lol. Also, congrats on yall new bundle of joy,” the stylist replied. The sweet exchange comes just days after Boyega surprised fans by revealing that he and Heckard have secretly been married for nearly two years. During an October interview with The Guardian, the 34-year-old casually confirmed his marital status when asked about his wedding ring. “I’ve been married for coming up to two years now,” he revealed, explaining that they opted for an intimate ceremony. Heckard, known for her role on “The Game,” has since updated her Instagram name to Tae Boyega. The couple also recently confirmed they welcomed a baby boy, with Boyega sharing intimate family photos and a video of himself holding their newborn son. Would you try this style? 🎥 @tookiedidit
💭It’s easy to look at people and think they have it all figured out. They’re always on time, have their finances in order, work out regularly and eat well. But we only see the outside. Nobody’s life runs smoothly all the time! In my work, I meet a lot of people who feel disappointed in themselves when they can’t stick to the training routine they planned. Little by little, they lose their rhythm, and before they know it, they feel like they have to start all over again. Maybe that’s you right now? 🔑 But a plan can’t only work when everything goes smoothly. It should also make room for real life: busy days, poor sleep, sick days , changed plans and periods when you have less energy. 📉 Progress is rarely a straight line. There will be pauses and detours. What helps us move forward is being able to adjust the plan and speak to ourselves with a little more compassion. It’s easy to beat yourself up for a missed workout or a meal that didn’t go to plan. Remember to give yourself credit, too—for the workouts you did manage and for the times you found your way back. 👆🏼 You don’t have to start over. You can simply carry on from where you are, with the capacity you have right now🩷 Just a little reminder, cuz we see so many quotes about giving 100% or nothing at all. Sometimes, I think we need to learn to meet ourselves somewhere in the middle. 🤍
