TNHT Staff: @YesThatsDee _________________ Neighbors, a horrifying case out of Kenya has ended in a guilty verdict for cult leader Paul Mackenzie, who convinced his followers that starving themselves and their children to death would guarantee them a place in heaven before the world ended. _________________ Mackenzie, who led the Good News International Church, reportedly told families that schools and hospitals were Satanic. According to testimony, some parents deliberately withheld food from their children and watched them slowly starve. _________________ Even more disturbing, witnesses claimed the mass starvation was planned in three stages: children would die first, followed by women and young men, and finally the remaining men. _________________ The tragedy came to light in 2023 when authorities discovered mass graves in Kenya’s Shakahola Forest. More than 400 bodies were eventually recovered, with many so badly decomposed that they could not be identified. _________________ Mackenzie was found guilty in connection with the deaths of 190 children and one adult. He denied forcing anyone to starve, but the court rejected his defense. _________________ Investigations into additional deaths remain ongoing, and Mackenzie faces separate charges, including terrorism-related offenses. Prosecutors have also accused him of directing 52 additional deaths while behind bars, allegations he denies.
