How to perfectly candy nuts! This is a technique I learned that makes some of the most addicting and delicious candied nuts you will ever have, especially if you season them with spices, salt, really whatever you like. Letting the simple syrup reduce allows all of the sugar to coat all the nooks and crannies of the nut and when they are fried it creates the most incredible crunch. I seasoned with a mix of different spices with salt and you genuinely can’t stop yourself from eating too many. Despite frying often being seen as something tedious and difficult, I think it is made genuinely so much easier when you have the right tools, especially with @lecreuset The faster and more consistently you can fry the better the result, but also the quicker you can finish and cast iron is the way to go. Working in professional kitchens we always used cast iron pots and Le Creuset was a staple because they were so durable and could stand up to us using them every single day. With that being said I hope you all enjoyed learning how to candy nuts, it’s always fun revisiting techniques like these and as always feel free to comment below with any questions or message me directly :D #ad #LeCreusetPartner #candy #nuts #learn

Last night was special. Our morning team brought home the Emmy for Morning Newscast, and I’m grateful to play even a small part on such an incredible team. But even more importantly, we got to celebrate the remarkable career of our leader, Bill Ritter, who received the prestigious Governors Award. Bill has been a mentor to so many of us, but he’s also a friend. It was wonderful to see him recognized for everything he’s meant to this industry and to the people fortunate enough to work alongside him. Thank you to everyone who showed up to celebrate and support Bill.
