Police have identified the man who died after being ejected from a roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia as Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, 42, of Atlanta. His death on Monday, October 12, has prompted Six Flags to temporarily shut down nine additional roller coasters across six parks in the United States and Canada.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Cobb County police responded to the incident involving the Goliath roller coaster at approximately 3:58 p.m. Investigators said preliminary interviews with witnesses and park employees indicate Kariem was thrown from the moving ride, struck other passengers, and fell beneath the attraction.

Officers discovered Kariem underneath the roller coaster, where he was unresponsive and not breathing. The Cobb County Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit was called to investigate. Authorities have not determined what caused him to leave his seat or publicly disclosed his official cause of death.

The Six Flags death also left other visitors injured. According to WSB-TV Channel 2, officials reported four additional injuries. The identities of those injured, the severity of their injuries, and whether they were all passengers on Goliath have not been publicly confirmed.

Witnesses described a terrifying sequence of events as the roller coaster continued moving. According to CNN’s reporting, one witness told Atlanta station WXIA that Kariem struck the coaster car three separate times before landing on the roof of a haunted house attraction below.

Another passenger, Logan Conner, told NBC News that he witnessed Kariem come out of his seat and collide with the coaster train. Conner said he made eye contact with Kariem during the incident. His account illustrates how quickly the tragedy unfolded for passengers who had no way to stop what was happening.

October 15 opens one of the most promising days of the whole year, as the Sun in Libra links up with Jupiter in Leo to bring recognition, destined meetings, and a renewed sense of possibility about your future. Something you have hoped for privately could finally reach you through a message, a generous offer, or a person whose arrival feels written in the stars.

A sextile is the aspect of divine invitation, which means the Universe places an opportunity in front of you and leaves the choice to meet it in your hands. Everything available today reaches you the moment you choose to step toward it. Your willingness to take even one small step toward what you want is the key that opens the door, so sharing your talent, replying from the heart, or holding faith that the dream is possible can set a whole chapter in motion. There is a powerful stirring of courage today, the kind that moves you to begin the conversation you have been rehearsing privately, pursue the dream close to your heart, or step toward the vision that has been inside you for far too long.

Jupiter is the great benefic of astrology, and its true gift is amplification. It takes whatever is already present inside you and makes it bigger, brighter, and far more visible to the world around you. In Leo, Jupiter magnifies self-expression, confidence, and the courage to be fully seen, so today favours the parts of you that have stayed hidden. The talents and dreams you have played down for years grow powerful beneath this sky, asking you to finally recognise their value and treat them with the reverence they have always deserved.

You may feel this influence through a sudden return of enthusiasm for something you love. Speaking about the future feels exciting again, and a dream you usually keep to yourself becomes something you want to share. Perhaps you hear yourself describing a place you want to visit, something you want to create, or an experience you would love to have. Your own excitement reminds you how much this matters, giving you the courage to take it seriously once more.

Last Monday (10/5/26), I discovered I was cancer free after 14 months of fighting.

It’s hard to summarize such a turbulent journey in just a few sentences, but if I had to pick one word to describe it all, it would be hopeful. Every stone thrown my way affected not only me but also my family and those around me. Holding on to hope showed me just how powerful that word can be.

Countless times, I felt like the light at the end of the tunnel was constantly shrinking in the distance. Now that I’m finally out of that tunnel, I can only feel grateful and free. I had so much support throughout this chapter of my life, and I will never forget everything the people who love me did to help me through it and remind me that I am loved.

I will never forget everything everyone has done for me or the lessons I’ve learned. Thank you all🤍
