Anchorage Fire Department

A little over halfway into their 24-hour shift #YourAnchorageFireFighters #AFDCShift responded to a residential fire near Kincaid Park. The residents evacuated out and away from the home and firefighters made quick work of the fire smoldering inside the structure of the outdoor porch and entryway. Firefighters learned weeds were burned around the exterior of the home earlier in the day as apart of yard maintenance. Before the clock struck midnight, firefighters broke down the scene and they, along with #AFDBattalionChiefs and an #AFDSafetyOfficer, returned to #AFDStation7LuckyJewelLake, #AFDStation5FightinFifth, #AFDStation12DirtyDozen, #AFDStation14PrideofStuckagainHeights, and #AFDStation15Southport.
