Where did everyone go? It was silent. For three hours today, it was silent. It is never silent here. My country road is constantly filled with trucks engine breaking, kids on dirt bikes revving past every house... Cows in the distance mooing at some inconvenience. I walked outside and it was blue. It was grey. Silence was across the land. I could barely even hear the wind. For three hours i didnt not hear or see another soul. No rocks falling. No stream. No birds. At first it was comforting. My deepest wish has happened: im finally alone. Maybe im dead? No, im still butt ugly, that cant be it. No one was home. No one was at work. The mail was late. Everything today was off. I got to set up my camera in the middle of the road and if i left it there for hours, nothing would have happened. Then, suddenly, everything went back to normal. It was deafening again. But where did everyone go?
