History wasn’t just written. IT WAS EDITED. The robbery was physical, but the whitewashing made it intellectual. When libraries were destroyed, manuscripts looted, archives scattered and knowledge systems dismissed, the theft did not end with what was carried away. It continued when the same world that stripped Africa of evidence later turned around and asked, “Where is your written history? Where are your records? Where is your knowledge?” That is THE ARROGANCE OF WHITEWASHING: erase the archive, then mock the silence you helped create. And the formula is still brutally simple. First, they mocked the African name as primitive, difficult, uncivilized or unmarketable. Then, once African identity became PROFITABLE, they lifted the language, the symbols, the aesthetics, the rhythms, the patterns and the cultural weight, polished them through foreign branding, and SOLD the same Africanness back as luxury, authenticity and global cool. MOCK THE SOURCE. Remove the context. Repackage the identity. Control the label. Then pretend the value only appeared when somebody else stamped a logo on it. That is why WHITEWASHED is not merely about stolen objects. It is about stolen authority: the power to decide what counted as knowledge, what counted as art, what counted as civilization, and even what parts of Africa were worthy of respect. They did not just rob the house. They tried to rewrite the inventory and convince the owners there had never been anything valuable inside. #uyiosael Song Title: Whitewashed (Afro-Soul) Available on all major streaming platforms! #whitewashed #history #africanart #culture
Chrisean Rock and Blueface are making it permanent again. Chrisean had her face tattoo of Blueface touched up after starting laser removal on it last December, and Blueface matched the energy by getting her name tattooed across his back. The two have been back and forth for years, but it looks like they’re all in this time. Do you think the tattoos will last longer than the relationship?
