日本語⇩I never thought I would own a company one day. And I definitely never thought we would buy a small old house on an island.

But with the right team, the right timing, and a bit of courage, things slowly start to happen.

Omishima sits in the middle of the Seto Inland Sea, along old sea routes where fishermen, travelers, and sea clans (Murakami Kaizoku) once moved between islands.
Its famous Oyamazumi Shrine has long been connected to prayers for safe journeys and protection at sea.

So for me, Omishima feels like a “compass island”, a place connected to finding your way through life.

What we want to create here is not just a guesthouse, and not just a place to stay.
We hope it can become a small place that connects visitors with the island’s everyday life, through local people, food, crafts, experiences.

A place where people can feel welcomed, while respecting the rhythm of the island.

There is still a long road ahead: concept, funding, renovation, and probably many mistakes along the way.

But for now, we have one question for you:
What should we call this place?

Should we keep it simple as Inner Japan Omishima Residence or choose something shorter?

まさか自分が会社を持つ日が来るなんて、思ってもいませんでした。そして、島に古い家を買うことになるなんて、もっと想像していませんでした。

でも、良いチームと、良いタイミングと、少しの勇気が重なると、少しずつ物事は動き始めるのかもしれませんね。

大三島は、瀬戸内海の真ん中にある島。かつて漁師や旅人、そして村上海賊のような海の人々が島々の間を行き来した、古い海の道の上にあります。
そして有名な大山祇神社は、昔から航海の安全や海の守りに深く結びついてきました。

だから私にとって、大三島は「コンパスの島」のように感じます。人生の中で、自分がどこへ向かいたいのかを、そっと思い出させてくれる場所。

私たちがここにつくりたいのは、ただのゲストハウスでも、ただ泊まるための場所でも�
