a year agoI love the move towards a more minimalist design. Id say headphone jack wise, is it possible of we can get that facing upright? As in, not on the bottom, or sides of the console? I find they never fit right within protective gaming cases, and often will bend my headphone jack when playing in the lap. Just some user experience notes!
a year agoGo all the way and flip the rear so we get the cartridge slot out the top like @xipher_design! Colab?!
a year agoUSB-C cut out isn’t necessary given that you can just convert the old charge port to USB-C, I guess some people might want it, is there a way to get more clearance for the shoulder buttons?
a year agoIt would be good to have the cartridge slot cover the label when a cartridge is inserted
a year agoI found i have alot of issues with the screws staying in on my unhinged, maybe if possible make it so the screws can go down even just 1or2 mm deeper down the throat. Not the hole depth but the part the screw head is against, if that makes sense
a year agoLooks sick the only thing I really wish was different was having the headphone jack come out of the bottom. Like if you could move the screw posts up a hair to make enough room for it down there that would be awesome
a year agoRounded corners looking lovely. I really like the design I wanted to build a slate SP but they don't stock them anymore so this will be the perfect replacement. And will probably be even cooler if the entire thing is metal.
a year agoWhat about increasing the dimensions of just the back so like the part with the L and E buttons wouldove up but the overall foot print of the device would remain the same. Then you could keep the larger battery
a year agoI like the rounded corners. I personally don't use the headphone and usbc cutouts since the replacement usbc ports are cool with most people. Maybe a version without them? I like the usbc location on the unhinged better personally. I like to be able to at least take the back off without wiring connected. The Slimmer the better tho, even for the front plate. I do like the angled front of the slate. I would also prefer the possibility of using an oem back just for compatibility. It would be cool to be able to use your back on another designers front shell. Like say a open sp or gacha sp ect. I think you could still have your own design elements with the mating surface being OEM
