This summer, I had the incredible privilege of serving at Mt.Hope — and I don’t say that lightly. Mt.Hope isn’t just a place. It’s where I’ve seen God show up again and again consistently — in the chaos, in the quiet, and in the middle of everyday moments.
Serving at Mt.Hope was a good reminder that ministry doesn’t have to be what some think it has to be — sometimes it’s handing out Fruit Smiles gummies, helping a kid tie their shoes, cheering them on during a game, or offering help when a kid needs it. It’s about showing up, being present, and loving like Jesus in every small way you can.
I watched God move — not just in the campers, but in me. In moments where I felt tired, He gave strength. In moments where I didn’t have the answers, He gave peace. I got to see campers take steps toward Jesus, leaders step into their callings, and friends become family. And somewhere in the middle of all that — He reminded me why I serve in the first place.
If you’re wondering if God can use you — He can. He doesn’t need perfection. Just a willing heart that says, “Here I am, Lord.”
