Harvesting vegetables from my New York City garden.

I had a great turnip harvest this year. And turnips are surprisingly easy to grow. It takes about two months from seed to harvest. They naturally loosen the soil because their roots move deep into the soil as they grow. And I find that they’re a great crop rotation to improve my soil for the next round of crops.

Today’s basket includes:

Purple top white globe turnips
Dinosaur kale
Yellow Swiss chard
Magenta Swiss chard
Scallions
Garlic chives
Parsley
Mint
Time
Oregano

Turnip is really good for lung, if you have a flu or cough you can make soup with it by adding additional carrots and bone broth.
