For over 30 years, our iconic FRAKTA bag has been one of the most used bags in the world—whether for shopping, moving, doing the laundry, or going to the beach.   The name means ’to freight’ in Swedish; this bag was originally designed for IKEA customers to carry their new purchases home.   Over the years, millions of people have come up with imaginative and alternative ways to use FRAKTA, and we’ve also had various collaborations to reimagine it. Swipe to see how it’s been reimagined throughout the years.   #FRAKTA A limited edition from the #YPPERLIG collection with designer duo Mette and Rolf Hay, 2016 Created in association with Craig Redman for the #FÖRNYAD collection, the FRAKTA was given a fun and bright pattern Designer Virgil Abloh created his version for the #MARKERAD collection in 2019 In 2021, we teamed up with designer Zandra Rhodes on the #KARISMATISK collection where she added her playful twist and cheerful colour palette!
