I live in Southampton & you were talking about last summer here? Best summer ever. If you know, you KNOW! Tell me if you think my summer was boring. i swam nearly everyday, paddleboarded, went to dozens of exciting & yes, some actually meaningful events, networked in idyllic settings, played polo, made new friends, went to great live music shows, saw great theatre, had ocean beach picnics, danced a lot, went to constanr art shows, met friends in all the hamlets for happy hr, ate beautiful farm fresh food, had fun private gatherings on my very private property, did my creative work in a glorious setting in nature, & enjoyed my beautiful wildlife filled property from my treetop terrace with hummingbirds & fragrant flowers! If you want to visit, you have to deal with the traffic unless you can do what smart folks do. They drive out in the off hrs, and make smarter choices what time to go from town to town. The people that come out here are the reason it can be obnoxious, its not the PLACE, its world-class resort beautiful & has all the culture you can fit in your schedule. We don't need it trampled on, so the less people, the better. Can't imagine being in Florida in the summer. Nice how the sharks & alligators have taken over the beaches there & the traffic is nuts there too!!! best place ever Florida was beautiful when we went every year until I was in my teens to Ft Lauderdale by-the-sea to visit family! It was heaven!But please spread the put down so less people clog up our towns! You know what has ruined all these places? TOO many PEOPLE overrunning every lovely place in the country & disrespecting the environment & each other.

Your opinion! Everyone I know loved it this summer! Traffic is horrible but people love it.
