Neighbors, a Clark Atlanta student, Morgan Gamble, 21, is dead after police say a driver drove nearly 100 miles per hour, in a 35 mph zone, and hit and killed the 21-year-old college senior.

The crash happened Tuesday night around 11 pm on Hank Aaron Drive and Glenn Street near the old Braves stadium in Atlanta.

Police have charged Nikolai Dunford in the deadly crash.

Police said Dunford was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he crashed into Gamble’s car as she was driving westbound. Paramedics took Gamble to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

An officer who responded asked Dunford if police could download his vehicle’s event data recorder. Dunford called his lawyer and agreed, according to the warrant.

The data showed speeds of 94.4 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Police arrested Dunford at the scene. He now faces charges of speeding, reckless driving and homicide by vehicle in the first degree.

Angel thought she was simply training a new employee at Modell’s.

She was patient with him, encouraged him, and treated him with respect. When she opened up about living in a homeless shelter with her children, she still wasn’t asking anyone to feel sorry for her.

The “new guy” was actually CEO Mitchell Modell.

After seeing how she worked and learning what she was going through, he promoted her, gave her a raise, and presented her with $250,000 to help her family leave the shelter.

Treat people well before you know what they can do for you. That’s when kindness actually means something.

Yesterday’s CJP protest raised more questions than it answered.

If CJP claims to represent independent civil society, why were senior AAP leaders and other opposition figures involved? Who organised the protest, who funded it, and what political coordination took place behind the scenes?

CJP increasingly faces allegations of functioning as the opposition’s B-team. Transparency is the only credible way to answer those allegations.

Meanwhile, AAP must address the controversy surrounding the cancellation of municipal elections in 28 wards of Patiala and 22 wards of Moga, including allegations of irregularities in the nomination process.

Congress, too, must answer serious questions surrounding allegations linked to MP Bimol Akoijam and JNU. Such claims demand scrutiny based on verified findings, not political convenience

CJP demands accountability from those in power. Fair enough. But will it apply the same standards to AAP, Congress and the rest of the opposition?

Civil society cannot demand transparency from everyone else while refusing to answer questions about its own political associations.

Accountability cannot be selective. Neither can democracy
