Boise 70.3
People ask me why I enjoy endurance sports, I like to make jokes about it. But the reality is I think it’s too easy to live life comfortably, and to avoid pain and discomfort. But the hard truth is pain and discomfort will come, life is hard and you never know what it’ll throw at you. So instead of running from it, better to embrace it, and know pain. And hopefully through that become a better, stronger person for yourself or those around you.
Ironman events are so empowering and inspiring, they make me emotional every time I’m there. Seeing people face the pain and push through it anyways. I’m grateful I have a body that can do these things and hope to maintain that for as long as I can.
Big shoutout to
@adammmhurd @kylesmcleod and
@mike.biggins for pushing me to sign up for this race, even though it was 2 weeks before the race… next time I’ll prep more.
Overall so happy and grateful for this experience
