๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Rest in power to 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, whose tragic death in NYC has sparked conversations about bullying and the role parents play in preventing it. Celebrities are speaking out, raising awareness about the need to address bullying at home and why parents must step in before itโ€™s too late. ๐Ÿ’” @LorenLorosa has the latest on this tragic story. ย  โš–๏ธ : @TopDogLaw
iโ€™ve got 36 hours to take 1,000 stories to parliament - comment โ€˜changeโ€™ for the survey ever since my appointment to the @britishbeautycouncil iโ€™ve been dreaming of a moment like this. starting ruka was more than just being about selling product or fundraising announcements. it has always been about becoming an advocate for the essential education, real innovation and now, real policy that protects us. iโ€™ve been invited to present evidence to parliament that will shape regulation for hair extensions going forward on Tues 3 Nov 2026. @rukahair weโ€™ve spent years investing in building the best fibre and striving for a higher standard than the market. without the support of real legislation, we invested in international lawyers and global labs for a safer, sustainable and ethical supply chain. but we know itโ€™s not enough, and we canโ€™t do it alone. protecting this community isnโ€™t about instilling fear, but innovating for better choices and developing nuanced, scientific standards that institutionalise protection before it shows up on your scalp. so iโ€™m asking for three policies: we want extensions being imported into the country or being produced in the country to be vetted for (a) their origins (b) what theyโ€™re made of / composition (c) a definition of safety with regulatory limits of ingredients but i canโ€™t walk in there with just my story. i need yours. and i need them in the next 36 hours. so, if youโ€™ve ever worn braiding hair, a wig or extensions, this is the one time your answer goes somewhere that can actually change something. comment โ€˜changeโ€™ for the link to the survey

let this be your reminder to create your own luck, say yes when it shows up, and then continue to create even more. a little over a year ago, I said yes to the @nike After Dark Tour. that yes led to a billboard, a career, core friendships with people who spoke my name in rooms I wasnโ€™t in, and so much more. iโ€™m endlessly thankful for this life i get to live and for my @nikenyc family for giving me the push I didnโ€™t know I needed!

The kids have already acquired a terrifying mountain of sweets and are currently out haunting the football pitch. This leaves me with armchair veg-time with my current, "bloody" fabulous reads... ๐Ÿฉธ The Last Handmaid by Claire Whitfield for my @InstaBookTours Read-Along (it is honestly incredible!) ๐Ÿง™๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ The House of Cursed Daughters by one of my absolute favorites, C.J. If the eldest joins us, we're gunning for The Lost Boys or continuing our Stranger Things rewatch.
