#CochlearPartner Cooper has worn cochlear implant sound processors for most of his life, so today I handed the mic to the actual expert. 🎤 From showing how he puts on his Nucleus® 8 Sound Processors to sharing what they help him do and what happens when the batteries die, he’s answering questions about his technology in his own words. Every cochlear implant experience is different, but Cooper’s processors are an important part of how he accesses sound and connects with the world around him. Visit @cochlearamericas to learn more about cochlear implant sound processors and whether cochlear implant technology may be an option for you or your child. Please seek advice from your health professional, outcomes may vary. Not all products are available in all countries. Consult your health professional to determine if you are a candidate for Cochlear technology. Views expressed are those of the individual. *The Nucleus 8 Sound Processor with Aqua+ is dust and water resistant to level of IP68 of the International Standard IEC60529 when you use a Cochlear Power Extend Rechargeable Battery Module or Cochlear Compact Rechargeable Battery Module. The Nucleus 8 Sound Processor with Aqua+ can be continuously submerged under water to a depth of up to 3 meters for up to 2 hours. The Aqua+ accessory should be used when participating in prolonged water activities. Refer to the relevant user guide for more information.
Follow me to cut through the hype 💎 Comment “links” to get my picks! Quince’s $50 cashmere is that sweater in the ads, and it’s the one most likely to disappoint if you expect a workhorse. These four share the same knit: Mongolian Cashmere Tee, $45 Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck, $50 Mongolian Cashmere V-Neck, $50 Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan, $80 I own and love the tee (sized up) and the cardigan (fitted, short sleeves I scrunch up – it’s a dainty piece). Buy them as light layers, not as your winter sweater. The light test: an LED panel inside each sweater, room dark. The denser the knit, the less light comes through. Loro Piana barely registered any light. The Quince tee let through about twenty times as much. But we’re not optimizing for fabric. We’re looking for sweaters to wear, so density is only half of it. Turn a sweater inside out and look where the sleeve seam meets the side seam. The Quince sweater that beat Banana Republic on density ranked much lower for the seam linking. A luxury brand delivering an airy knit would not mess this up. BR’s seams are engineered flat, second only to Loro Piana. Where each one belongs: Everyday basic → Uniqlo Affordable updates → Quince Oversized and similar knits Softest hand, bright colors → J.Crew Dressier, with real design → Banana Republic Send this to whoever’s about to order their first Quince. Comment “links” for everything in the reel, or “news” for my newsletter.
