Taking them early is truly the best thing.

I remember us visiting @blantonmuseum in Austin when she turned 1.5 and it was a bit chaotic but I think she enjoyed it.

Since then I continued to take her to art museums. It wasn’t very interactive and she didn’t have much to say about it but I would talk to her about it.

Now at almost 6 she’s loving @mfaboston and we’ve been twice. She asks questions about the art work and takes her time to enjoy it.

Art has never been my thing but she loves it so I try to make expose her to it as much as possible. To help encourage what she loves and wants to learn about.

There is a version of me that wishes I had the time to make the visits be more interactive with more activities for her when she was a toddler…. BUT I never had the time and I think it worked out okay 😉

Both my kids started going to art museums at a very young age. I wanted to teach them at an early age how to behave in museums. They know to be respectful, not to touch art and genuinely enjoy being there. But… they’ve never been to art museums together. I took them both to a museum once and it was chaos 🫣

My daughter just runs trough every exhibition 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it's nice to see all kids are different ❤️
