my 10 before the end! and by that I mean I have almost 20 more books to get through this year to hit my goal 😜 and will be deep diving back into full on dark romance with a sprinkle from @amber.v.nicole new book! I have surpassed the amount of books I read last year, WHICH, is crazy to me! what being out of school and getting to leave work AT work can open up to a reader because I sure am lucky to have time in my day to day to be able to sit down and read a book without worrying about time crunching my homework in. #10beforetheend #booksta #darkromance #mafiaromance #bookstagram

my fifth novel, THE PICTURE HOUSE GIRL, is available for preorder now ❤️ Glamorous silent film star Eula Hartwin and her make-up artist Winnie had a devoted partnership through the roaring twenties. So how did Winnie end up on trial for stealing from Eula a decade later? London, 1923. The silent film industry is booming, and the picture houses are packed. Make-up artist Winnie Ferris is thrilled to start working with the starriest face of the day―wide-eyed, luminous Eula Hartwin. But she soon comes to realise that Eula, despite her rising fame, is being taken advantage of by a family who would leave her penniless. Kind-hearted Winnie decides to take the young actress under her wing. With her around, no one will take advantage of Eula’s wealth again. Surely? Everyone knows how this story ends―with the two of them in court, Eula suing Winnie for grand theft, Eula’s new husband at her side. The nation watches on, breathless. But no one has ever heard Winnie’s side of the story. Until now. London, present day. Andie, an academic stuck in a life that no longer fits, is reeling from the discovery that she is descended from Winnie Ferris. As she unravels the threads of Eula and Winnie’s story, she finds their secrets are deeper than she could ever have imagined. And the closer she gets to the truth about what really happened at the picture house, the more she begins to wonder―could it not only rewrite history, but give her the courage to rewrite her own? this is a book for anyone who has loved someone in secret, survived because of their friends or obsessed over knowing the real ending of a story. I love it. I hope you do too. #coverreveal #bookstagram #bookrecs #newbook #historicalfiction

She had zero complaints about the pizza. The box was another story 🍕 A customer who enjoyed her meal apparently took offense to the pun “In Crust We Trust” printed on the packaging, and instead of letting it slide, she filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The owner’s reply didn’t exactly calm things down, and the back-and-forth has people online cracking up. What’s the most absurd complaint you’ve ever had to deal with at work? 😂
