Singer and songwriter Melanie Fiona is enjoying a slower pace of life in Paris, and the experience has her questioning why people in North America are constantly in a rush. The Grammy-winning artist took to Threads to share how spending just a few days in the French capital has positively impacted her mental and emotional well-being. “I’ve been in Paris for a few days now, and my nervous system is already more regulated. People here walk slowly. They take their time drinking coffee or eating with friends. Nothing is HIGH DEMAND. It’s so lovely.” Fiona explained that the relaxed atmosphere made her recognize just how much stress has become normalized back home. “It reminded me how disregulated we are in North AMERICA, and how we exist in a constant pressure cooker of stress. We expect everything fast and in a hurry and deem it disrespectful if it’s not.” Her observations highlight the differences she has noticed between everyday life in Paris and the fast-paced culture often associated with North America. From rushing through meals to expecting immediate service, Fiona’s reflections raise questions about whether convenience and productivity have come at the expense of personal peace. Is North America’s fast-paced lifestyle putting unnecessary stress on us, or is Melanie Fiona simply experiencing the magic of being on vacation?

At this point it feels like Hasbro is just taking advantage of TVC collectors who are being starved for product. This set requires very little new tooling outside of the top half of Frog Lady. The rest is reuse, including Frog Lady’s Kuiil legs that were used to keep her the same height as the actor that played both character. Absolutely smart reuse…absolutely stupid price. #starwarstoys #hasbro #keep375alive #balancethescaleshasbro #375forlife
Worth it. 🙏🏼 Training for a marathon for almost 10 years and not even knowing it. 🥹 4 pregnancies, a whole lot of growing pains and a kind of unearthly love I wish I could bottle up and give to everyone! Goodness, what a gift it’s been to discover motherhood in my path. I can see it so clearly now that life’s greatest joys are found in the very things that ask the most of us. BEING THEIR MOM IS SO WORTH IT!! Here’s to the mamas running their own beautiful race. Surrendering it all knowing we are doing more than raising babies. We get to be apart of growing a legacy that outlives us. 🌳👊🏼❤️ #storieswithsazan
