Wildlife Photographer of the Year 62’ 🌍 Cohosting this awards night is always a highlight of the year, and last night was no different. To celebrate the very best photographers from around the globe and get insights into their work is very special… not to mention getting to do the ceremony at the @natural_history_museum, too 🤯 The images this year are phenomenal - some beautiful, some technically perfect, some weird (the zombie ant fungus - SO COOL!) and some extremely poignant. The exhibition to see them in person is now open so make sure you go and check it out. Congratulations to each and every photographer - you’re all such inspirations, bring wildlife and stories closer to the millions. #WPY62 Loved being able to bring my mum along as well this year 🥰 Dress: borrowed from @jennypackham M x
Our goal at 69 Atlantic is to expand the public perception of what sleight of hand can mean by presenting a variety of magical entertainment. In that spirit, we’ve invited avant-garde visual artist, Jay Gilligan to Brooklyn to perform his genre-defying show “Stories About Gravity.” Jay is a creative hero to many in the variety arts. His work is experimental, thought-provoking and usually, enormous. When he comes to visit us, he will squeeze his one-man spectacular into a 26-seat theatre. Imagine Blue Man Group in a bathroom stall. Jay is a renowned innovator in the world of circus. For 19 years, he was the head of the juggling program at the Dans och Cirkushögskolan in Stockholm, Sweden and he has been a guest instructor at every major circus school in the world. His ideas on the subject are truly revolutionary. This will be unlike any demonstration of dexterity and reflex you have ever seen. Trippy, mind-expanding, unforgettable.
Don’t be scared, don’t be scared now my friend…
