I realised I posted the pictures of the winners, but not of the 2024 Head Outside Awards. These pictures encapsulate the heart of the Head Outside Awards. Raw emotion. Powerful storytelling. Inspiring people. Beautiful people. Leaders we need in this world. Communtiy. Friendship. Connection. Joy. Celebration. Grief. Transformation. Remembrance. Honouring. Vulnerability. Empathy. Kindness. Friendship. Love. So much love.

Thank you to alll the wonderful people who’ve reminder me want the awards mean to them. I wish there was more I could do. To make them more accessible. To give out more than just a trophy. To make more of an event. I do think connection is the greatest gift of all. That’s the most I can offer for now. And a beautiful event with a room full of amazing people doing extraordinary things with very little resources. I’m grateful for all the connections that I have made through the awards.

We’ll have the awards at the Kendal Mountain Festival this year. I’m deeply sorry if that that prevents you from nominating. Until we get backing or funding, we can’t provide bursaries as was the original plan. If you have any idea how we can shine a spotlight on your work, then please let me know. If you’re a brand/organisation and would like to help provide bursaries to the finalists then please reach out.
