What we do 🌱 by @soultrailwellbeing
Why we do what we do 🤎🖤 by @soultrailwellbeing
Welcome to Soul Trail 🌱 We have so much love for our beautiful family, with a special mention to hiking volunteer Marie-Annick, poet & advocate Subitha and @celie.nigoumi for our sold out photo walks and for making everything look incredible 💫 Shout out to many community folk who have delivered workshops/ supported us! @iammoyah , Manu, @mose_rising, Oasis & so many more 💚 Without our team & supporters we couldn’t do what we do! by @soultrailwellbeing
💚 Sometimes a walk can lead to so much more. “I had no idea I could have compassion for myself. It was such an awakening.” These lovely words came from someone who joined one of Soul Trail Wellbeing's programmes. They shared how the experience changed the way they saw themselves, helped them feel welcome and seen, and led to friendships that have lasted long after the walks ended. Because it's about so much more than getting outdoors. It's about connection, confidence, and belonging. 🌿 💚 Interested in joining a future Soul Trail programme? Our first Menopause in Nature Walk ☑️ Thanks to Oasis @wonderfully_made_bu for an informative wellbeing walk learning tools to thrive with menopause. Leanne also shared how to use nature as a tool through the benefits of plants and feeling present. After the walk, women felt : Less alone Uplifting Immersive Energising Uplifting Many also felt inspired to make steps for themselves, such as joining the gym, restarting Pilates and doing more nature walks. Would you like to see another Menopause in Nature walk? Let us know! by @soultrailwellbeing

It’s FUNGHI SZN! 🍁 Time to look down, round the corner and UP! 🌲 I’ve seen so many already, obsessed. They have an incredible mycelium network underground and each have a preference on trees they grow on/near. I still have so much to learn! Most of these were found in a random forest in Coventry , found with my pal who’s from Poland - who shared back home people eat so many foraged mushrooms this time of year and even have them on Christmas Day! Super cool. A reminder to always wash hands after touching and to only eat a mushroom if you are 💯 sure what it is folks. Some of these bad boys are toxiccc yet some are incred 💚 What have you seen so far? #mushroomforaging #funghi #autumn #foraging by @soultrailwellbeing
And that was only week one 💚 Sista Trails is a free six-week programme from @soultrailwellbeing, bringing Global Majority women in Bristol together for mindful walks, time in nature and connection with others. At the end of their first session, the group were asked how they felt. Reset. Energised. Proud. Grateful. Peaceful. Content. ✨ Six little words that say quite a lot. We can’t wait to follow their journey over the next few weeks. 🌿 Our next Sista Trails intake will be in Spring 2027, so keep an eye out for referrals opening next year. by @soultrailwellbeing
A little heart hiding in the trees 💚🌳 Ever wondered what you’re walking past? In this video, Leanne gives us a closer look at the Linden tree aka the lime tree with a handy way to recognise its heart-shaped leaves. And the bit about chocolate?! 🍫 Leanne explains how its seeds can be used to make a cocoa alternative. Who knew! One of our favourite things about spending time outdoors is getting to know what’s growing around us. There’s always something else to notice, even on a walk you’ve done a hundred times. Have you spotted these leaves near you? 👀 #TheNatureConsortia #NatureConnection #TreeIdentification #NoticeNature by @soultrailwellbeing
Had the nicest morning with @bristolavonrt , who are working HARD to protect our rivers for the benefits of people and wildlife. We learned about: - how to find otters and identify their poo 💩 - beavers being reintroduced and how they help the river (dw the 💀 is fake ) - what kingfishers sound like! - how to test the water quality and how it impacts wildlife 🧪 - what a damoiselle nymph baby looks like 💅🏾 And WAY more Check out Riverhub and @bristolavonrt for opportunities to volunteer to help our habitat and wildlife. Thank you Rosie and the team! Maybe a bat walk next ?!! Always a pleasure with the team @thenatureconsortia 💚 #riverconservation #wildlife #pocoutdoors #nature #bristol by @soultrailwellbeing
We recently had the opportunity to host a panel discussion at Wildlife and Countryside Link’s second Wild Summit at the Bristol Beacon, exploring access to nature, racial justice, wellbeing and community-led environmental action. The conversation highlighted that Black and Racially Minoritised communities are not disconnected from nature, and that relationships with land, plants, food, water and place are often deeply rooted and intergenerational. Yet these connections are not always recognised, valued or supported by the mainstream environmental sector. We discussed the need to: 🌱 Invest in long-term, flexible funding for grassroots organisations 🌱 Recognise and resource existing community expertise 🌱 Create environmental spaces where people feel safe and represented 🌱 Share power and bring diverse voices into decision-making 🌱 Fund joy, creativity, connection and celebration, not just short-term projects One message came through clearly: nature work is also justice work. The challenge now is to move beyond conversations and good intentions towards meaningful investment, representation and community-led change. A huge thank you to our brilliant panellists: Leanne from Soul Trail Wellbeing (@soultrailwellbeing) MoYah from Project May Gardens (@may_gdn and @iammoyah) Amrish from The Bristol Rainforest (@thebristolrainforest) Judy Campbell from The West of England Combined Authority Mya-Rose from Black2Nature (@officialblack2nature and @birdgirluk) Thank you for sharing your knowledge, experiences and perspectives with us, for helping to create such an honest, inspiring and important conversation, and for continuing to champion more inclusive, representative and community-led approaches to nature and environmental action. AI can’t compete with us 🔥 Real conversations, laughter, chasing sunsets and connection in nature. I love my job and the people in my life I’ve met through it. I’m so glad AI could never replace this. Nearly 2 years full time and 6 years running!! Wow 💚 And now more than ever - as the digital world grows bigger - we need to return to nature. Lesss gooooo! #greenjobs #ai #pocoutdoors #naturejobs #uk by @soultrailwellbeing
