Today, on Devil’s Night, is Dani’s birthday. Ironic, considering she’s one of the most innocent souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending so much of my life with. Watching her go through her twenties and thirties with such style and grace has been nothing short of a gift. Whether you’ve met Dani in person or have simply followed along online, I’m sure you’ve noticed that big smile she always seems to have on her face. The truth is, she genuinely wants everyone she comes in contact with to experience as much joy as possible. She is selfless in a way that is becoming increasingly rare, and her compassion extends far beyond her friends and family to people she has never even met. She’s smart, beautiful, humble, loving, and has taught me more about giving and compassion than she could ever know. Her favourite band is Blue Rodeo, which is funny considering she writes some of the most badass bass lines I’ve ever heard. This is Dani. A beautiful mix of everything you might not expect. This wonderful family we call humanity means the world to her. We love to say we are all Citizens of the Rave, but for Dani, that sense of community stretches far beyond the dance floor. So let’s all show her some love. Wish her a happy birthday, share a story, or tell her something you love about her. I promise you, it will mean more to her than you know. Happy birthday, Dani. It’s been an incredible two decades watching you grow, watching you help others grow, and getting to share so much of this life with you. Here’s to a brand new decade. May it be your best one yet. I love you. Xo 🐰
Had the honour of emceeing the HERNEXEOS Launch Dinner Symposium, guiding an evening that brought together international experts and local medical leaders. The evening was proudly organised by the Hong Kong Society of Clinical Oncology and Boehringer Ingelheim, a global biopharmaceutical company. Evenings like this remind me why these conversations matter: giving patients more time, and families more moments together. That impact goes far beyond clinical terms. Here’s to partnership, innovation and transformation, redefining what’s possible. The NEX Era starts now.
