Alice in Wonderland themed Afternoon Tea at @thefatpigeonbar in Livermore was a delight! Thank you to the lovely @marieeeismagic for suggesting this place and going with me!

Tasty sandwiches, SO many excellent sweet treats, and I loved the white/green tea! I was very full by the end, which doesn’t always happen at high tea.

Ringing in your ears that won’t stop? Here’s a quick fix

If you have tinnitus, that ringing, buzzing, or humming in your ears with no outside source, here is the simplest relief that actually works: sound. The trick is that silence makes tinnitus louder, because in a quiet room your brain has nothing to focus on but the ringing. So reduce the contrast. For quick in-the-moment relief, a sound machine or a simple phone app can work wonders. For lasting help, two things matter most: get your hearing checked, since tinnitus often goes hand in hand with hearing loss, and manage stress and sleep, which make it worse. There is no overnight cure, but most people can make it fade into the background. One note: if the ringing is only in one ear, pulsing, or sudden, see a doctor. Multiple vehicles were reportedly involved in a late night crash near Keʻeaumoku and Rycroft Streets. According to the person who sent in the footage, possibly three vehicles were involved, with one vehicle badly damaged in both the front and back. Three cars were also seen parked along the side of the road, but it's unclear if all were involved. The cause of the crash and whether anyone was injured are unknown. Xu Chenghong, a 24-year-old from rural Yunnan province in China, lost his father at 3. His mother remarried when he was 5, and the grandmother who raised him and his older brother passed away two years later.

He saved around 160,000 yuan, about $22,000, to marry his girlfriend, Luo Chui, but expected barely enough relatives to fill three tables. So on October 25, he posted a video on Douyin inviting strangers to come celebrate with them.

The response was overwhelming. People traveled from across China bringing appliances, heaters, food and even a whole pig, while volunteer chefs cooked for free and one guest lent the couple a Maybach. As crowds swelled, local officials stepped in to help manage the celebration.

On October 31, Xu and Luo said “I do” surrounded by people who had been complete strangers just a week earlier 🎉
