We did it.
The World Games have been such a crazy experience, where everything came together. So many people are behind this victory, and I don’t even know where to begin to thank everyone.
Let’s start with the ones who are there for me since day one, my family. Thanks to you I barely have to worry about anything else but giving my absolute best in my athlete-student life, and giving me the most loving environment.
Our 5-headed dreamteam in Chengdu. Anja, Rémi, Jorun and Frederik. You guys are the absolute best, and know how to get the best out of me. I cannot thank you enough, and couldn’t think of a greater team to be part of.
The entire Team Novus staff, I cannot express how grateful I am to be surrounded by such a complete team of wonderful people. Thanks for teaching me how to grow into a better athlete, each in your own valuable way, step by step.
A very special mention to @bertvanpoucke as well. Thank you for guiding me through what was a whole new dimension of top performance for me: the mental game. Thank you for giving me the tools in order to perform at my best.
My club @zwaantjes_roller_club , where it all started. Thank you for fuelling my love for inline skating from the very start until this moment. Seeing how you were all supporting me, is truly moving and something I’ll never forget.
My friends, thank you for always cheering me on. Through beautiful and difficult times.
Team Belgium, thank you for the great organisation and support.
The World Games organisers and all volunteers, thank you for making sure these World Games were a unique experience, offering the athletes a professional, respectful environment.

Let’s keep growing.
