No cosplay photos this time! I know, very sad indeed. So why this? As I was returning back home from my first ever Unicon, I was thinking how would I describe all of the endless emotions I had felt for those 3 intense days. And I think it doesn't get much simpler than this.
Victory - both mental and physical.
What started as a simple thought of "Maybe I should go with my friend." Ended up turning into Estonia's most skilled SSBU players gathering together and training for days to show the rest of the Baltics that we can fight too. Not only did the 5 of us secure a spot in the top 8, but one of our men even made it to the top 3. As for myself? I tied for 5th, which still doesn't ruin my streak. To say that I am pleased would be an understatement.
Not only was it great to make it this far, but it was amazing to see the challengers from Latvia and Lithuania. It was great to see that there is still so much room for improvement. That next time, we can do even better. But this wasn't just about SSBU here.
The number of friends I had seen all gathered in one place was simply amazing. It felt like the most real and badass crossover ever. The competition was fierce, and the scale of it never seen before. So many talented names I could finally assign a face to. 12 tournaments were certainly 12 tournaments. I can't even begin to mention every person here.
But
@baltic_fighting_game_league my absolute favorite friends, you guys were absolutely insane for pulling this all off. I was honored to be invited and to be able to help you guys out even a little. Thank you for giving me this absolutely amazing opportunity to do all of this + everything else I can't begin to mention.
Thank you to everyone who competed by my side and helped me become a better player.
