South Korea came close to losing the Korean War in the early stages, as North Korean forces rapidly advanced and captured nearly the entire peninsula by June 1950, leaving South Korea cornered in the southeastern city of Pusan 🇰🇵🇰🇷 The turning point came in September 1950 with the UN-led Inchon landing, which reversed the situation, allowing UN forces to push the North Koreans back. However, the war eventually reached a stalemate, with no clear victor, and an armistice was signed in 1953, establishing the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Communist China joined North Korea in the war in November 1950, unleashing a massive 2.4 million strong Chinese ground attack against American forces. The Soviet Union also covertly supported North Korea. Like our content? Follow us 👉🏼 @insidehistory (Via: mapsinanutshell/YT) #history #korea #1950s #animation #trending

A bit of a longer caption, so bear with me. 🤍 I had dreamed of making this video for the longest time, but when the moment finally came, I had very few words. I always thought I’d be able to express the excitement of marrying the love of my life, but in that moment, I simply couldn’t. The morning felt so calm and so right. I’ve never felt more at peace. The energy from my girls, my family and our content team was incredible, and I can’t thank them enough. I’m naturally a very highly strung person, but that morning I felt nothing but relaxed and at ease. I guess that’s how you know you’re marrying the right person. Ethan came into my life when I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. After all the mess and chaos, he helped rebuild me from the ground up with patience, kindness and unconditional love. I hope everyone gets to experience that kind of love in their lifetime. I am who I am today because of him, and I owe him more than words could ever express. If you’re in a relationship that makes you feel anything but calm, safe and loved, please know that you should never settle. There is someone out there who will show you the love and respect you deserve. And to all my upcoming brides, my advice is simple. It doesn’t matter how much you spend, how extravagant your wedding is, who shows up or what goes wrong (because something probably will). At the end of the day, you’re marrying the love of your life. Nothing can take away that feeling of pure happiness and peace, knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be, with the person you’re meant to spend forever with. 🤍
