SURGERY! Yes, although IVF and IUI is what gets most of our patients pregnant, Surgery is the 3rd treatment option that we have in Reproductive Medicine.
Fertility doctors used to be some of the BEST gynecological surgeons 30 years ago, but is a dying art these days. I went into reproductive endocrinology because of the surgery and my amazing mentors.
Doing a tubal reversal or Reanastomosis today (fixing her fallopian tubes after tubal ligation - sterilization)

Absolutely. Tubal reanastomosis is an excellent option for many couples when properly indicated. In countries with limited access to IVF, such as mine (Colombia), it is essential to train a new generation of reproductive surgeons with the skills required to perform this procedure correctly and safely. Surgery and IVF do not compete—they complement each other, and both should be part of a comprehensive, patient-centered fertility strategy. Great job, @drjulianescobar 👍
