THE JUICE
Check out the latest custom board I had the Magicians @sheasomma and @stixnlogsglassworks make for me. These two have made me a pile of boards over the last few years and I cannot say enough good stuff about these guys. I've had them focus on smaller Simmons based models that we've been tweaking on but if you check out their Instagrams and websites you'll find they can pretty much make you anything.
This board "The Juice" is another iteration of my favorite 4'-11" platform and measures in at 4-11" x 24"x 3". Slipping away from a full asymmetrical outline this features a symmetrical nose with an offset tail and twinny available fin system. This one also received less overall concave on the bottom and for the 1st time introduced a slight "V" out the the tail. Needless to say I gotta have it my hands to see and feel all the other bells and whistles that were incorporated.
Purpose made this is supposed to be an ultimate Grovler board to beat flat or closing out sections excelling at point breaks which is mainly where I surf but also anywhere else with a less vertical face. Great for waste high to head conditions but I rode the previous models in over head and still had a blast with too much speed and not enough control being the only issue.
The orange slice art albeit simple was actually done with just a tint resin and no paint or airbrush. How @stixnlogsglassworks does this is beyond me but I am thrilled with the outcome. Now I basically don't want to wax it lol. Crazy cool though right?! LOL
I pick it up tomorrow. More to come once I finally get to ride it and as luck would have it Sunday looks like the beginning of a new south swell, lucky me.
