Latest Wavecast update. Keep this in mind as we see all this coastal damage and prepair or at the least be aware these coming months. This is a multi problem problem that is not going away anytime soon. by @rontoomany

PROJECT SPUN HONEY....So not to long ago I bought one of Firewire's Slater Designs SPUN HONEY by Dan Mann and it turned out to be an amazing board. I don't say this lightly either as many of you that follow me or surf with me know I have gone through A LOT of boards in my hunt for the right board for me to surf my favorite spot at Malibu and I get rid of boards quickly that don't make the cut. That said it was a disappointment to say the least when on a lack luster waist high wave the front toe side drive box just gave out and folded on a bottom turn after just a few months of use. I didn't hit anything. Waves weren't pumping just a regular day at the BU. So I gave the board to our local ding repair wizard @kiyoyanagihashi and tasked him to replace the box and fortify the area with a standard tail patch on top of Firwires multi layered bag construction that obviously failed. I also routered out the other boxes and had him fill them making it a dedicated twin. Hopefully it'll be the Bees Knees now as they say...But I also brought this to Firewire's attention and after many emails it was decided it wasn't a manufacturer defect (it is) but was met with a kind and responsive representative that in the end sent me a $100 gift certificate towards their merch and a promise to tell their team of my quality control issues on their newest board at the time. If I didn't like the board as much as I do I might of pushed the issue a bit more but since I had already committed to the idea of bettering the board as a twin for my liking I took the certificate and said thanks for your time....The pictures show the fin failure and new completed twin fin version but I also added a few pics of their thinly layered construction and the air bubbles I came across as I routed out the old boxes which was the likely contributor to the box failing. They plain and simply didn't take their time setting the boxes and making sure resin got into all the nooks and crannies. All and all Dan Mann killed it but Firewire came short but in the end I now have a reinforced amazing twin fin rocket....What do you think? I know there's a lot of Firewire haters so I know your answer but anyone else? by @rontoomany

Malibu Lagoon and 3rd point sharing the waves now. Just standing in the ocean hardly any beach in sight. Included a couple of pics from earlier in the year with a totally different beach shoreline. by @rontoomany

One more up for grabs.

6'3" x 20 7/8" x 2 15/16" x 41.6L Firewire Slater Designs Mindcraft...$600 OBO...Santa Monica/Venice

CASH, VENMO OR PAYPAL accepted. Local pickup only.

Only used a few times. Great board, fast and rides and feels a lot smaller than what it is but I still like a board under 6ft for myself so I'm letting it go while it's still relatively new. Obviously I have painted my own art on it and taken the Firewire logos off it but it is 100% MINDCRAFT and in near perfect condition.

Introducing the Mindcraft designed by Kelly Slater and Daniel Thomson, a minimalist shape designed for pure function. Built in our patented I-Bolic 2.0 Technology, and grom sizes (5'2" and under) built in our all-new G-Flex Technology.

The Mindcraft was designed to connect the surfer to their equipment like never before, a mind surfing experience from the minds of two visionaries. The outline was chosen for its minimalism and pure function, "a seamless blend of straightened elliptical curves," says Daniel. The shape and design provide tons of speed and drive, with a feeling of pinpoint precision and the ability to turn on a dime - this board stays under your feet and goes where you want it to go.

The bottom contours are smoother, more continuous, and more subtle compared to Tomo's past models, offering plenty of speed and flow with a moderate performance rocker. There's a single to double concave that keeps the design engaged with the wave face while still offering lively response familiar to Tomo's other designs. by @rontoomany

FOR SALE!! More quiver thinning. Two more for sale on top of the 3 others I posted yesterday..Both boards are nearly new with just a handful of rides on them. Both are amazing boards but both are just a little small for me so I'm selling them while they're still relatively new.

CHANNEL ISLANDS "The Solution"...5'-11" dims in pic. This is an amazing board and I'm totally bummed I under shot the volume when I bought it. I'm really just selling it to fund a bigger one. I'm surprised how well this board works but at this size just too much work to ride at my size...$600

WEGENER MINI-SIMMONS... 5'-3" x 21"ish x 2 5/8"ish...Another amazing board that unfortunately was made under volumed for me. Super playful and FAST! Just a harder than necessary paddle for my size. It originally came with glass on wooden keels but I didn't like how they felt so I had Future boxes professionally installed in a more modern position and the board just came alive....Fins are not included but can be for an extra $125....Board with no fins is $600. by @rontoomany

Quiver unload. Thinning out my my herd. All three of these boards are super fast playful Groveler boards that are great for someone 195lbs or less that like alternative skatey boards. The 2 asymmetrical boards were custom made for me by Shea Somma and have been super fun experiences in my surfing evolution. The Butterfly board is Firewires Sweet Potato and speaks for itself. All are used but in good shape and water tight with usual pressure dings etc.

Orange slice board. 4'11 x 24" x 3" PU......$500

(SOLD)....Purple board. 4'11 x 24" x 3" PU. Comes with new Futures Mayhem Evil twin fins.

(SOLD)....Sweet Potato 5'6" x 22" x 2 9/16" EPS by @rontoomany

If you know you know 😄 Let's see who knows what cult classic movie this is from. by @rontoomany

Coming down the mountain this morning on my @sheasomma 4'-11" asymmetrical Super-mini that he made me a year ago freshly upgraded by moving the fins forward. Frickin rocket now! by @rontoomany
