Prettiest Pitbull in America - mammary cancer treatment update. Chemo Week 1 - We have elected to approach her care from a hybrid standard of Integrative and conventional care. In addition to her chemotherapy she’s also treating with an incredible Integrative veterinarian who has helped us to change her diet, and developed a special plan for her supplements, and additional modalities like mistletoe injections, physical adjustments, ozone therapy, detoxing her environment and hyperbaric therapy. As you might expect, many of these therapies do not have extensive clinical research behind them. But many of the treatment modalities suggested for animals are the same things we invest in for our own longevity. It is a personal decision and none of it comes with a guarantee. We are blessed to be able to provide her with this care. Please keep in mind when breeders subject females to litter after litter it takes a toll on their immune system and hormone balance. Also, new research suggests each litter increases the likelihood of mammary cancer. It’s so unfair that this gentle lady has to go through so much, but we’re super confident she will win this fight and in the meantime, she is absolutely in heaven getting all of this special ATTENTION. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers!
