I haven’t played it yet, but there’s also Sigmata: This Signal Kills Facists. Alternate 1980’s America ruled by a facist regime, and you become cyborg revolutionaries powered by a radio signal.

Secret Hitler is an excellent secret role game. But anti-fascism is so important to me that I couldn’t let my team win when I was Hitler.

my group argues constantly during coops but something about fighting actual oppression might get everyone on the same page for once — the way you describe those faction abilities sounds like each role would feel genuinely different in how they contribute to building those barricades — does the difficulty scale well with different player counts or is it consistently brutal regardless?

I made a game called "Before the Worms," an "anti-Cosmic Horror RPG about the cost of resistance" in which the antagonists aren't alien Others threatening the status quo: they *are* the status quo. "The Worms" are semi-physical parasites, invisible and intangible to most, that feed on human suffering. And some people welcome them in and become "The Hollowed" in exchange for power. You play as regular people who have begun to see the Worms and now can't unsee them. And now they have started to notice you too... The metaphor is not subtle, but hey, in the immortal words of Garth Marenghi from Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, "I know writers who use subtext, and they're all cowards." 😉 If you're interested, it's currently in the "No ICE in Minnesota" Bundle on itch, and will hopefully be available from Indie Press Revolution in a month or so! https://itch.io/b/3484/no-ice-in-minnesota
