HU Staff: Ariela Anís @ari.anis Kia Buckley, an Australian influencer and owner of Perth activewear brand Kikiva, is apologizing after her sister Tez Buckley used a racial slur during Kia’s live. A clip of the moment began going viral this week showing Kia putting on makeup as her sister, Tez, real name Terryane or Terry, came into the room shouting the n-word, with the hard “R.” ___________________________________________________ The clip began with a knock on the door, prompting Kia to tell her viewers, “Oh, that’s my little sister. She just arrived home.” Just as she finished speaking, Tez shouted, “What up, n***ers?” Kia immediately shouted back, “Tez, I’m on live.” Tez replied, “Oh, I’m—.” Kia continued to do her makeup, in silence, and without making eye contact with the camera. She then glanced down, read the comments for a while, and then finally broke her silence. However, she continued to lie about her sister’s use of the racial slur. Kia said, “No, she didn’t say that. She said, ‘What up, s*ssies?’.” ___________________________________________________ Kia attempted to cover up her sister’s n-word use by claiming she was saying the plural version of s*ssy, as in sister. As backlash rolled out, Kia ended up releasing an apology through her brand Kikiva. The statement read, “Our founder, Kia, unreservedly apologises for walking past a standard we should never accept. By not calling out racism in that moment, we hurt our community, our customers and everyone who has supported us. We have let you down...” When that apology didn’t hold up, Kia ended up making an apology video, uploaded to her TikTok. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📸 TikTok: kiabuckley/justinebaker98
Excuse me, how can someone be THIS cute 🥹🥰😍?!
asmr 6am morning routine alone in nyc. oil pulling, ice roller, ear seeding, lymphatic drainage, gua sha, pilates, iced matcha, and out the door by 8:37. on the ear seeding, since it’s new here: it comes from traditional chinese medicine, tiny seeds placed on specific points of the ear that are believed to connect to the rest of the body - the face, digestion, sleep, stress. they stay on for a few days and you press them whenever you remember. i started doing it for puffiness and i’ve found my face looks more rested on the mornings i keep up with it. ancient idea, very easy habit 🤍 i alternate my iced matcha with coffee depending on the morning. today was a matcha day. if you’d like the full list of everything in my morning routine comment DAWN and you’ll receive it in your dm 🤍 alone but never lonely. introvert heaven 🤍 . #livingalone #cozyathome #asmrvlog #sololiving #apartmentliving
We take so much for granted. The little things we provide for our children, grandchildren, younger siblings, and neighbors. Even something as simple as a movie night. Think about the cartoons and animated movies you grew up watching. The characters, songs, and stories you still remember decades later. These are childhood memories that stay with us. Children in Gaza have been deprived of these simple joys. No electricity, no television screens, certainly no movie theaters. Their childhoods have been consumed by displacement, destruction, and survival. So we brought the cinema to them!! On October 17, The Sameer Project collaborated with a Jaber Thabet (@jaber.thabet) and his team in Gaza to organize a mobile cinema at Al-Karama Camp in Al-Bureij, giving displaced children an evening of cartoons, music, laughter, and a chance to just be kids. If you support the idea of these joyful kids deserving a childhood filled with memories worth keeping then help us accomplish this and donate to our General Fund.
