Reliance Foundation, led by Nita Ambani, has taken up the responsibility of developing a 130-acre green space—coastal road gardens and an adjoining promenade—along Mumbai’s reclaimed coastal stretch. The project includes walkways, cycling tracks, plazas, and lush landscaping. It’s being portrayed as a “green lung for generations to come,” meant to foster environmental balance while giving back to the city.

Cost & Scale

The initiative is estimated at ₹400 crore and will be executed under Reliance’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program. Reliance will also handle maintenance for at least 30 years, further extendable if needed.
