Traditionally crazy quilts used fabrics like silk and velvet and the feather stitch was often used as away to conceal and reinforce the raw edges. It was also used because itโ€™s a lovely decorative stitch. I had a lot of remnants and I wanted to use the pieces as is and not trim them too much. The results is an asymmetrical freeform mosaic like pattern. I have a full tutorial on how I created the pattern and the construction of the pouch on my YouTube channel. I feel like itโ€™s a good place for me to go into more detail. I hope you find the tutorial helpful and that you enjoy making this little project๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

If your elbow or Achilles has been โ€œrestingโ€ for weeks and still isnโ€™t better, Watch this Comment 492 and Iโ€™ll send you the full episode with @keithbaar Tendon and ligament researcher Dr. Keith Baar explains how women who lift can protect their connective tissue, bounce back from injury faster, and why estrogen changes the injuries women get. If youโ€™re a woman lifting weights, your muscles arenโ€™t the only tissue adapting. Your tendons and ligaments are training right alongside them, and they respond to load very differently. Dr. Keith Baar is a professor of physiology at UC Davis and head of the Functional Molecular Biology Laboratory. He joins me on Better With Dr. Stephanie for a deep dive into tendon and ligament science. Whether youโ€™re trying to stay injury-free as you build strength or youโ€™re frustrated and want a smarter way back from an injury, this conversation gives you a framework for both. ๐ŸŽง Comment 492 for the episode.
The question could not have been simpler. A reporter asked James Talarico: someone crosses the border illegally, does not apply for asylum, cannot find legal status โ€” what comes next? The answer in American law is one word. Deportation. Talarico would not say it. He talked about hiring more immigration judges to process asylum claims and weed out the fraudulent ones, as if the question had been about paperwork. The reporter asked again, in substance: no asylum, no status, what then? He never answered. A candidate for the United States Senate from the state that lives with the border every day could not bring himself to say that breaking the law has a consequence. It is not a slip. It is the record. The welcome mat speech. The โ€œsecret police forceโ€ line. The January debate where he said it was time to tear down ICE. The church he bragged about sheltering an undocumented family from deportation, told as a point of pride. The rally warmup act in Lubbock calling to abolish ICE while he stood by. He tells the cameras he wants to deport gang members and traffickers, not moms and babies, and then he cannot say the word for everyone else. The word is the policy, and the policy is the point: no enforcement, no consequence, no border, just a bigger waiting room. He will not say it because his coalition will not let him. The open-borders left, the streamer class, the activists who treat every deportation as a crime โ€” they are the force that put him in this race, and they are watching. A senator from Texas who cannot say โ€œdeportedโ€ is a senator who will vote like the border does not exist. Paxton has spent his career enforcing the law Talarico will not name. Tuesday, Texas gets to name it for him: deported, defeated, done.
