I am many things to many people, but first and foremost, I am a woman. I’m a mother, a wife, a dog mum and a photographer by profession. Although these days, most of my creative energy goes into AndBloom. I started AndBloom in 2018 out of a passion for beauty. And I see beauty in so many things, but especially in women. Women with stories, history and faces that carry a lifetime of experiences. Over the years, I photographed more than 150 women, celebrating their individuality and the beauty of growing older. Those portraits became the foundation of AndBloom, and I’m still incredibly proud of them. Eventually, I stopped photographing other women regularly. Not because I stopped loving it, but because Instagram changed. Beautiful photographs made way for video, and a single portrait, no matter how meaningful, was no longer enough to please the algorithm. Such a shame, because I still believe a photograph can tell a thousand stories. During Covid, I started turning the camera on myself more often. And somehow, I became my own model. The woman I experiment with, dress up and use to express my love for fashion, beauty and life. AndBloom evolved alongside me. Today, I share snippets of my life. Not everything, but more than enough. The colourful moments, the ordinary ones, the funny ones and sometimes the vulnerable ones too. I’m passionate about storytelling, creativity and celebrating every chapter of being a woman. Especially the chapters we’re so often told to fear. And although this space has changed a lot over the past eight years, my mission hasn’t. To celebrate women, challenge the way we look at ageing and remind us that there’s so much life, beauty and possibility still ahead. I love connecting with you here, and I hope you find joy, inspiration and a sense of belonging in this little corner of the internet. Let’s grow older together. ❤️ #andbloom #portraitphotographer #agepositive #womencommunity
